Help safeguard our land

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountains
majesties,
Above the fruited plain.
America! America!.......

Hearing these lyrics on July 4th, who would not be struck anew at how this first paragraph of America the Beautiful could easily be Montana the Beautiful?
How lucky we are that in this state every person has access to national monuments and parks, national forests, BLM land, lakes and waterways, and at last count, 55 state parks.
Montanans have long supported responsible access to both public and private lands.
Generations of Montanans have been good caretakers of their farms and ranches. Following in their footsteps, let us all pledge to be good stewards of the land. Let us support those who see the value of public spaces beyond this generation.
And let us give thanks that we live in this state of such breathtaking beauty. After all, this is the true reason Montana is the Treasure State.
